Founded in 1990, S&S Controller and Bookkeeping Services is a Farmington Hills-based company that provides controller services to small and mid-sized businesses. The firm has grown over the past 30+ years and now includes 12 full-time and part-time staff members.

Patricia Shefferly
Patricia ShefferlyFounder, Owner, Principal
Patricia Shefferly is the founder of S&S and currently handles all financial aspects of the business as well as managing half of the company’s client engagements. Pattie, as she in known around the office, holds a BS in Finance and Human Resource Management from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Jim Lilly
Jim LillyOwner/Principal
Jim Lilly helps lead all functions at S&S, having been with the company since 2003, and handles all sales duties as well as managing half of the client engagements. Jim holds a BS in Accounting from Saginaw Valley State University and has over two decades of hands-on experience.
Farmer Nixon
Farmer NixonOwner/Principal
Farmer Nixon has been a Partner at S&S since 2024, overseeing Bookkeeping, employee and workflow administration, and internal process improvements. Farmer holds an AAB in Accounting with honors from Lorain County Community College and a BA in Music (cum laude) from Malone University.
Stacey Hopson
Stacey HopsonBookkeeper
Stacey Hopson is a Bookkeeper at S&S and she’s been with the company since 2016. She performs various invoicing, accounts receivables, payables, human resource functions, payroll,
along with other general bookkeeping tasks for her clients. Stacey has 27+ years of experience in accounts payables and receivables, 10+ years in operations management, and 6+ years in bookkeeping.
Angela Reive

Angela Reive is a Senior Bookkeeper for S&S and has been with the company since 2017. She is responsible for her assigned clients’ accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other accounting needs. Angela holds a Bookkeeping Certificate as well as 8+ years of industry experience.
Erika Blewett
Erika BlewettBookkeeper
Erika Blewett is a bookkeeper for S&S, having started with the company in 2022, and handles a myriad of payroll, payments, paperwork, purchase orders, and bank and credit reconciliations. Erika holds a General Studies degree from Schoolcraft College.
Calvin Pierce
Calvin PierceBookkeeper
Calvin Pierce is a Bookkeeper for S&S and has been with the company since 2021. He helps keep the books up to date and delivers timely financials for a wide range of clients. Calvin has 3+ years of accounting experience.
Carolyn Tilson
Carolyn TilsonBookkeeper
Carolyn Tilson is a Bookkeeper for S&S, a position she’s held since 2020, and is responsible for preparing financial statements, processing payroll, training new employees, and accounts payable for her clients. Caroyln holds a BS in Business Administration from Wayne State University with a major in accounting, as well as 15+ years of experience in accounting and 5+ years in office administration.
Stephanie Robinson
Stephanie RobinsonBookkeeper
Stephanie Robinson is a Bookkeeper for S&S and has been with the company since 2021. She helps perform bank reconciliations, cash flow management, payables, invoicing, and training new employees for her clients. Stephanie has 14+ years of experience in customer service, management, and training as well as 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping.
Jewel Arledge
Jewel ArledgeAdministrative Assistant
Jewel Arledge keeps things running at S&S and has since 2024. She assists the entire team daily by taking phone calls, greeting and directing clients, constructing and maintaining spreadsheets, processing payments, helping maintain and update client information, and much more. Jewel has over a decade of office administration and sales experience.
